    The annual Westmount High School Holiday Food Drive begins on Monday December 2nd, 2019. All students wishing to wear their pajamas to school that day may do so as long as they bring in 3 non perishable food items to their homeroom that morning. The food drive will end December 13th, 2019. All the students in the homeroom that brings in the most non perishable food items will have their names entered into a draw for a pair of Montreal Canadian hockey tickets. The more items you bring in the more chances to win.

    In addition their will be prizes for each homeroom who reach the following levels:

    • 75 items = candy canes
    • 100 items = chips
    • 150 items = mini chocolate bars
    • 200 items = chocolate chip cookies
    • 250 items = sundae bar
    • 350 items = free pizza lunch

    If the school brings in 2400 items, students will receive a free dress day. 2800 items = 2 dress days. 3200 items = 3 free dress days

    Beginning Monday December 2nd at lunch. You can put your free change in jar represent each level and a jar for the staff. Each cent is worth 1 point. Example : 1 loonie = 100 points. However any bill placed in the jar will be subtracted from the jar. Example: 5$ bill = - 500 points. The winning level will receive a free dress down day in the new year. If the staff wins, they will received a special surprise.

    All proceed will go toward the Holiday Basket.

    Ant student who wants to place a December Scholastic book order should give their order to either their English teacher or Ms. Sipos in room 203 by Wednesday, December 13.

    All grade 11 students who want to attend Prom 2020 are reminded that the deadline to pay the $60 deposit is Friday, December 13.  You can bring your payment to Ms. Sipos in room 203 where you will be issued a receipt.

    Feeling stressed out? Looking for a way to center yourself in a warm environment? Like art and tea?

    Then Art & Zen is the group for you, where all are welcome!

    Art & Zen has begun!  We meet every Wednesday during lunch in room 211. Join us for a relaxing afternoon of mandala art, calming music, and a warm cup of tea! Come unwind on Wednesdays in this Zen space, and color a mandala of your choice.

    Did you know - Mandalas have been shown in studies to boost the immune system, reduce stress and anxiety and have been used as a form of meditation. Come learn more and sign up now or see Ms. Mapp or Ms. Trehin for more information.

    The Grad Committee for the Class 2020 will be selling holiday cookies in the lobby at lunch until December 16th.  Come buy a large, delicious, fancy holiday cookie for $2.00 for yourself or a friend.  There are 4 different holiday themed decorated cookies to choose from.  Come by the lobby and see the samples and then order a cookie to be delivered in homeroom Thursday, December 19th.  Support our grads of 2020!

    There will be rehearsals for the Dec. 17th Holiday Cabaret on the following dates and times.  It is important that all performers come to these rehearsals.  We will be running the show.

    Tuesday December 10: 3:30-5:30pm  Auditorium

    Wednesday December 11: 3:30-5:30pm Auditorium (Tech rehearsal)

    Thursday December 12: 3:30-5:30pm: B100

    Monday December 16: 3:30-6:00pm: Auditorium (Full Dress and Tech rehearsal)

    Please bring your costumes and props.
